Confused HELP!! I want to see my son!!

Recently my son's father took me to court and we received joint custody with him primary. He then moved to Chicago and I live in Metropolis, I was awarded only wo weekends a monthbecause of his move. He keeps denying my visitation and making up lies to take me to court. The judge gives me my visitation back and he doesn't show up. I filed for contempt and she won't hear it. I haven't seen my son in 2 1/2 months and we just went back to court tuesday. He said that I threatned to run away with him and to remove my rights. She didn't do that but again gave me back my visitation as long as I don't leave the state. Well court is in Ky and i live in Ill. I hve to leave state. She then said we have to move the case to Chicago because that's where he lives. When we got out of the court room he told me I would never se my son again. I can't go to Chicago to file a motion for contempt. I need help I can't afford a lawyer I don't know what to do. I get phone visitation once a week for 15 min but I think that makes things worse because he doesn't now who I am on the phone. His father calls him something other than his name so when I do talk to him he doesn't even now his name. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!

You can't afford not to have an attorney. If you have any way to raise the money to retain one, relatives perhaps, who could loan you some money, or even a loan at the bank, you must do so. It's appalling how the judge is behaving in this case.

You do need to file in Chicago, but you will need an attorney. Do you have a local legal aid office in your area you can call and discuss this with?

Thank you. I had a legal aid working my case and she didn't help. She didn't do what she was supposed to do. So if he doesn't bring him for my visit then I HAVE to go to Chicago or can I file contempt here and he have to come here.

there is no magic advise on this, if you do not get an attorney, your ex will get what he wants in this case

obviously the judge believes his story and not yours, thats why a lawyer can sort this out.

ok I know I need a lawyer. How do I go about getting a new judge. I know for some reason she is going twords his side. I go in there with proof he said he was going to run away and that I would never see him again and she throws it out, He goes in there and just says it and she beleives him she took away my visitation for 1 month and then gave it back I have filed 4 contempt charges since then and she throws them all out. Can I get a new judge?

Why do you have less than joint physical custody?
