Angry surrender custody

im trying to get my ex-husband to surrender his rights.he wont pay support and he only talks to our duaghter or sees her when she calls

Why are you trying to get him to give up his rights? Is there someone who wants to adopt your child?

You dont have to have a husband to adopt your child. A grandparent or a guardian could also adopt. Also there is no way you can make them surrender. You could still file for support. The back pay really adds up. Then once the balance is super high offer to drop the case if he signs the waiver. Just a thought....

yes, use the child as a pawn to get what you want. that is sound advice right there!!!

As far as using the child as a pawn. You don’t normally bring a child to court for child support. Since child support, custody and visitation are all separate issues I am not sure how you would be using the child the child doesn’t need to know a thing about it. That child is entitled to the support.

Also I missed in the original post where she asked for nice advice only. If you don’t like what I have to say then don’t read it.

Children as a rule do not know they are being used as pawns. Only the parents partake in that little venture.
