My Daughters father has never seen her, he hasnt even had any contact besides twice in her first 2 weeks of life she is six months old now. I recently learned he married a girl he has known less that one month, He plans to move with her (to wherever the army sends her in the next few months) and he plans to change his last name to hers. For whatever crazy reason, All attempts I've made at getting ahold of him have been unsuccessful.
My questions is how do I go about finding out what his new last name is, He won't even tell his own mother what he's changing it to or where hes moving (which surprises me because he is a total mommas boy he even still lives with her!) So I can't find out threw him or threw the grape vine. I dont have any court arrangements or child support set up at the time. Any advice? Thanks for your time! |

Why do you want to know??? If you file for child support, don't be the slightest surprised if he files for custody. His past behaviour will not be held against him either.
I say let him go and don't worry about it. But if you MUST, marriage licenses are public record. You could either find them online or go to the court house in the county they were married (try a few if you don't know). |

His past behavior won't be considered at all?
I just want to know in case in the future for any reason I need money for her,The economy isn't the best right now I will do the best I can to support her but if something comes up where I need help, I'm going to have him help before my child goes without. or when she gets older if she has questions about him or wants to contact him. |

Well marriage licenses are public record. Really easy to find in some states like Flordia. There is a single website that searches all counties. There you could find his last name.
If you file for child support, you may end up losing custody or with shared parenting. Think REAL hard about finding other ways. There are state assisted child care plans out there that REALLY help. |

The baby is only 6 moths old, and you are already to deny a child her relatioonship with her father, GBYTE? You have NO right criticizing ANYONE on here.
Marriage licences and name changes are researchable in the county they were performed. You should have no trouble finding the name he is changing too. You are doing the right thing for your child to seek him out. He may not want to have a relationship with your child (especially with a new marriage), but he needs to show responsibility and your child deserves support from him. |

Vital records are public. You have only to call and request their marriage certificate be sent to you, usually for a fee, or you can go to the City Hall of the town they were married in and request it.

1. by taking a standard custody agreement and using it to the full even though they don't want the child - by doing this, it hurts the mother and the child 2. by filing for 50/50 custody to get child support reduced/eliminated and hurt the mom and child even more by taking the child away from a home where he/she is wanted. There are good fathers, there are great fathers and then there are fathers that should fall off the face of the earth and the child would be better off. He doesn't want this child and he's made it clear. Filing for child support will likely result in a filing for custody or visitation from him. And if he has no interest now...money as a motivator to be a dad does not make a good dad. That's my opinion. She is the only one that can decide if that is a risk she is willing to take. |

Agreed, and nobody here is denying the child a relationship with the father. He has apparently done a good enough job doing that on his own.
It's apparent the father in this case has already denied the child of having a relationship with him. You think he's being stonewalled by any one poster here? |

wow you are a complete POS. you give advice left and right for people to deny child their fathers, like that would be the best for the child when in fact that will cause so much emotional trauma later in life. |
