Child Support Question

Is there a way that I can force my wife to accept child support for our children? I can't maintain her current lifestyle and she is unwilling to concede anything such as her cellphone or even moving in with my mother to save on rent. She won't accept anything less than 100% of my income which is going to become impossible once I start ROTC to become an officer in the military. I figure that if a court will order me to pay child support than she will understand that I just don't have the means to pay for her lifestyle and she will then make the necessary changes in her life. At the same time I will be able to remain financially responsible to myself and my children for our future. No matter how I explain our current financial situation to her, she will not listen to me. She says that if I don't pay her the money, she will still refuse to seek child support and that I should just assume that they don't exist because I will never be able to see them again!!

You're right, she does sound totally irrational! I was under the impression that this kind of scenario is every woman's dream!!!

She cannot threaten that you'll never see your kids again. That's a threat you should not tolerate.

Sure you can force her if you want to. Simply get divorced and file for physical custody. She'll fight it tooth and nail and you'll end up paying child support. Problem solved.
