Deported Father Looking to Steal My Son

My son's father was incarcerated since before he was born (my son is 6 now) and recently deported back to Honduras. He's not a good person and my son is better off without him. Unfortunately his father doesn't see it that way and calls every few months to talk to him, which I don't allow. He's never contributed a penny to supporting him. He's talked about wanting to see him and coming back to the states (illegally) to do it. He swears he would never steal him but the more I push him off the more I fear he will. Today he called not from Honduras but Canada. I'm in New England and I fear he'll try to take him and there will be nothing I can do once he's out of the states. Please tell me I'm wrong and there's some way I can be proactive about this without running myself.

Does the son have a passport? Can you change your number?

Is it really that horrible to let the son talk to him once every six months? How old is the child?
