Unhappy 64% of income to child support

I am being dragged through the cleaners by my ex. Have 1 child - 18yo - and have been divorced for many years. Ex works as secretary for a big law firm in a city nearby. We live in Mississippi. Ex takes me to court at least 1 time per year for an increase. I had to represent myself at last hearing for increase because I owe $7500 still to my last attorney. He costs me $13,000 and I still lost and had to pay more to ex. I currently make about 35,000 and pay (with insurance, car insurance, school tuition, books, medicine and support) 21,200 per year in child support/expenses. I don't have enough money to live on. Am depressed, have ulcers and am at my wits end. We have no legal aid here and I can't find a pro-bono attorney. We always see the same judge who has the reputation in this town of always taking the woman's side. Any suggestions or help?

Do you have college support laws there? You should be almost done. Is she taking you back again when the child is 18?

I know exactly what your going through. I owe 19000 in arrears just for the times I have been out of work. I have never been able to afford an attorney. My son is 18yo and not living at home and the money is still adding up. I have a kid with two different moms. They both have taken me to court every 1 and a half yrs to increase support but when i go in they just deny anything I ask for. Someone please help us!!!
