need help ex wife not letting me see my son

my ex wife is not letting me see or talk to my son she lives in ohio and i live florida i moved to florida not to get away from my son it just worked out that way i pay my child support and is all up to date. before i moved to florida i was order the the courts that i can see my son every 2 weekend . when i moved here i have tryed and tryed but not a phone call back. i have not seen or talked to my son in 2 1/2 years . i do not have the money to get a lawer. what should i do .

Did your custody schedule include a clause with what would be followed if you moved away? Usually it's a couple of weeks every summer.

You typically have until May 1st to get "first dibs" on vacation time. I'd recommend you send her a letter - tell her you are also sending it to your attorney (whether you do or not -but be prepared to find one) - arrage ONE weekend - or three days as a "get to know you" type of vacation, then 1 week in Florida for this summer. Let her know you WILL be exercising your every other Christmas and every other Easter (typical in a long distance schedule) and WILL be taking your full 4wks parenting time next summer.

That's my opinion anyway....

and if she denies you a visit then call the police. because she can get in trouble for not letting you see your son.
how old is your son?
because im sure if hes older then he would want to see you. and if you really want to see your son youll do more than Just call.

But sometimes its not only just doing anything just to get to your child. A lot of emotional issues and stress hinders you to move along. In my case I cannot even plan a visit as I am out of country; but my wife does not even let me see my daughter's pic or answers my call so that I can at least hear my daughter's voice. There is no court order.

File for Custody. The court will know you are serious. Otherwise it could cost you a lot, or take months, even years.
