I want to move in with my dad.

My mom has some serious mental issues, I keep telling her she needs to get help, but every single time she tells me to "go to my room until I learn how to be nice". She doesn't clean the house EVER, and when I ask her if I can go hang out with my friends, she tells me that I need to "be nice" again, and that the answer is no. I could go in detail about all the things she does, but that'd be boring to read. Just trust me when I say that she's crazy, my dad knows it too. He says he'd be thrilled to have me live with him.

I'm 15 and I've wanted to live with my daddy for 4 years, and I'm sure I want to do this. I live in Iowa and my dad lives less than 15 minutes away from my mom. I'm not sure how to go about this, because my mom says that she won't let me move in with him, that it's never gonna happen. But I'm so depressed when I'm at home with her, just everything she does, leaving food open on the counter not washing clothes etc... just makes me want to run away which I'm not going to do, btw. I just want to know what kind of places will help with a custody change, anything else I might need to know.

Your dad can file for it based on a change of circumstances - The childs want at your age is likely almost all that would be needed to grant it. Unless there is something seriously wrong with him.
