Any help is be appreciated, my situation is rather complex. About three years ago before my husband and I were married I had relations with my ex. I found out I was pregnant not long afterwards but we to this day have not done any paternity testing. My husband is on my daughter's birth certificate as the father. My ex is aware of my daughter and believes her to be his. He would like to see her and pay child support. However my husband and I want nothing to do with him. Part of the complexity is that my daughter was born in Texas, the ex lives in California, and we currently reside in Indiana. I'm wondering since I've read a little about the statute of limitations. What would be the statute of limitations for the ex to file a paternity suit to try to establish himself as the possible biological father of my daughter? I would assume that after the limitation is up he wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on and would have no rights.

He normally can file at any time to see if he is the father.
