DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
My daughter is South African,staying in Florida with her ex-husband who is British, Their child was born in the UK.The father is an alcoholic and violent,but not to the child.Six months ago he hit my daughter and was arrested.She dropped the charges.This weekend they had a terrible row and she hit him.She spent the weekend in jail.He has a restraining order against her and is filing for custody of the child.He cannot live in the UK because he does not pay income tax. He can live in South Africa.He is a business man,very rich,and has lawyers on his side.What can my daughter do. Can I apply for temporary custody of the child. I live in SA.How can my daughter come back home

Wow. As she likely see's now, she shouldn't have dropped the charges.
She needs an attorney for sure. There is an ask an attorney section on this site for $10. |
