Please Help, Suicidal Mom

Hi, I am sixteen years old and I have a suicidal mother who has so far has confirmed adhd. She constantly puts the blame on me, and gives me every task to do that she can think of. She drives off, yells, hits the walls, and so far has not harmed me yet. Right now I am living with my grandparents, and about two weeks ago my mom locked herself in room with a knife, and said she was going to commit suicide.

She has been saying these things for about a year now, but it has progressively gotten worse. It's just her and I in the house, sorry if I didn't mention that yet. I haven't had contact with my father in about six years, and I don't know how to contact him or even where he lives.

Anyways, so these problems have been getting consistently worse, and she has been mentally abusing me, pushing me to the point to where I cut myself for about a month. I stopped, though, as she let off when she found out, and now she's just worse than before.

She once told me that if she killed herself, it would be my fault, and then she drove off, and I didn't hear from her for six hours.

I feel like I'm at the end of the rope, and that I'll be forced to go back home to that because my grandparents don't think that they have any right to take temporary custody of me or anything.

CPS has already been in contact with me after I called a hotline, they came to my school, spoke with me, and then told me that they are going to contact my mom because they couldn't find my house.

Does anyone know of any other options I can take? Or do you know if my grandparents do have the right to get temporary custody of me?

Your grandparents can seek temporary custody of you.
You say you are living with them, but then you say it is just you and your mom in the house. Which is it?
Also, do your grandparents live in the same area as your mother? Can they get you to your school reliably?

I'm sorry, when i was living there, it was only her and I.

See, my grandparents don't think that they have the right to take me from my mom to do temp custody.

Yes, they can get me to and from school, it's just about ten minutes longer away from my school.

Really, it is up to your grandparents to consult an attorney on this. So much depends upon the current legal arrangements, the laws or your State, the temperament of your court, and your mother's circumstances.
