HELP: Romanian mother vs Jamaican father

Hi I have a 7 month old baby daughter.father is jamaican I'm romanian.baby was born in Romania but father didn't show up for recognition in birth certificate so baby has my name. I would like to ask for child support from him but i really don't know if I have any chances to win. All I know is his name and company where he works. We are not married. Can he take the baby away from me if I ask for child support??? On phone he's always saying that.
Which law is applying in this case? Romanian or jamaican family law? Thank you.

Romanian law would definitely apply to custody, and his threats to take the child aware are completely bogus.
I don't know which country would have jurisdiction for child support, but file in your own country first.

thank you.he's saying that i could put the baby in his name without him to be in romania,but the lady at the registration told me that's not possible.he seems to be upset about that and that's the reason he's not sending any money.in mean time he called to say he got recently a girlfriend and she wants to meet my baby.is that a responsible attitude from him?i just wanna keep my baby away from him but in mean time i wanna make him pay chilg support.is child supporting giving him rights to spend time with the baby and that lady?thank you.

hello my name is gaby and iam in a similar situation but iam a father from the uk, london i was with a romanian girl for two years in the u.k, then she got pregnant and she wanted to bo romania to see her mother and be with her mother, so i allowed her to go and in the meantime i was sending her money and helping her and i would visit her in romania
but she had ohter plans she wouldnt allow me to come romania and she told me tos end money, but in the meantime she was cheating on me and she found a new man and she married in the space of 5 months and then in december last year she had my son he is now nearly 5 months
she nowaskks money from me but i dont trust her, also she has put my sons name in the new husband name and he is now claiming maternity leave pay from the government. 100 % the child is mine. iam ready to do dna tests to prove it.
iam usure what i want but it hurts me to think that another man has my son in his name. its a difficult situaion and i need advice. please does anybody have any suggestions on how i should deal witht this. thank you. gaby
