STOCK, LUMP SUM
The economy is bad right now and I filed for child support while still living with my husband. now am afraid of filing for a legal seperation or divorce because as a construction worker his work hours has decreased from 35 to 22, from $900 a week to $700, soon he'll be unemployed in march because work is slow. could i get child support while living together? could his child support decrease once he becomes unemployed? could he petition for a reduction, whats the process and length of time I have before the change takes place? I work but i have credit card debts and my income is 45k and his is 100k but his work hours due to the economy has changed. he has an ira and stocks could i get a lump sum for the amount accumulated while marriage after the divorce is finalized? nervous how am I going to survive with 2 young children ages 7 and 11 if I DO DECIDE TO FILE FOR A DIVORCE OR legal seperation. This might be a bad time to divorce or seperate.???????

It's almost always a bad time to divorce or separate - especially when children are involved. Think LONG and HARD!
But people do survive on less. |
