Confused Changing child support amounts

I pay a very steep child support pmt. for one child. I only got to see her 1/2 day a week because she moved out of state. So not much for visitation. Now the mom is done with school till fall so there is no visistation set up for me and I can't afford to take her back to court. And she no longer pays daycare til the fall. What can I do or how do I lower my support payments. My hours at work flexuate as well because of the economy.
I cannot efford to continue to pay the amount set by the court and move out on my own. It only leaves me with $400 to $500 a month for my own bills not including rent.
Help!

mudpuppy one thing i do know in fact is children are't cheep. I wan't to say you need a modification but if you can't afford to get in front of the judge the paper won't do you any good.

What gave the mother the right to move the child out of State? Does she have full custody, or do you have a shared parenting plan?
Does your court order treat daycare separately, or is it rolled into the regular support calculation?

Here is something to think about...

the less you see your child the more it costs you. Here's the real deal.. when a child support payment is set up it is set up with the assumption you will take care of costs X amount of weekends. If you never see the child it can actually be increased based on the idea that you are not paying costs X amount of weekends. I'd hesitate before trying to lower it based upon I don't see her much... that might be a snake that bites you back. Of course, understand that's how my state works... not sure about yours..
