There are bigger fish to fry. Somtimes looking to hard for fault in others can be neglectfull to the child. Comfort the child.Dont be so obvious about your hate for the other parent.

tbyte I agree (neglect is a huge issue here...) but if we're hashing it out how will the courts handle it? like you said they will ignore it.
Honestly, my best advice? Call your daughters school. Ask them to let you know when she needs any supplies, field trip money etc.. and ask them to let you know. Tell them that you and her mom are going through a divorce and your not the custodial parent but you'd like to know all things so you can help accommodate your little one; like what she needs, when is her conferences etc... and let them know your concerned about your daughter emotional well-being since the divorce. Meanwhile, do all the things that tbyte mentioned above and more; have a bed for your child. Their own pillow, their own toys ...create for her a respite from the hard cold ugly world.... You can go to the goodwill to get clothes & bedding for you daughter as long as they are clean in the end the social worker will not care. They are looking for love. You send a distress signal to the school and you've got an agency on your side. (Don't sound vindictive, do not mention the she say he says b.s... Just sound concerned about your daughter.) Some things cannot nor will they ever be resolved in a courtroom. that would be my best advice here... hope it helps. |

No...why? Answer my question.
I'm comando at this moment...who cares!? What does it hurt? Who does it hurt? Last edited by Gbyte; Dec 20th, 2008 at 11:54 PM. |

TMI!
Answer me this: would you send your children to a friends house without wearing any underwear? Would you send them to school that way? It's called hygiene. Chaffing? Infections? This is Parenting 101 GBYte. Perhaps you should take a refresher course. |

Actually, women or children prone to frequent infections are advised by doctors to NOT wear underwear. It's not hygenic to keep it all "sealed" in. Womans parts at least need to breathe. It is healthier to go without.
My daughter has gone to school without underwear on a couple of occassions. Mostly to tick off her dad (not something I support). It's a matter of personal choice for adults or children. Not relevent to custody disputes. Welcome to: Get your head out of your @$$ 101. Its NOT that important! Last edited by Gbyte; Dec 21st, 2008 at 10:40 AM. |

I did to...my daughters went to school without underwear. She rarely wears it on the weekends. It's more hygenic to go without...I'm not sure about this chaffing thing. Must be a man thing. Not wearing underwear for women is a great preventative for infection...wearing underwear, especially if not thin, breathable, 100% cotton underwear, will cause irritation and infection.

Thanks for the information. It is a great relief for me to hear that.
I was worried that someday I might accidentally underestimate your parenting skill, but now I see that this is not a possibility. |
