child support age limits

my ex and son moved to florida from ny state 4 years ago.

A; the % formula they use in florida for child support is lower than the % in ny. can i get the amount i pay lowered to florida standards. would i have to file the case in florida court ?

B; florida law child support laws are until the child is 18. here in nyc it is until 21 if the child goes to college. So which is it for me? when he turns 18can i go into a ny state court and asks for my support order to be vacated because the child has lived in florida for all these years and should be subject to florida laws ?

The old state order applies.

You can try eventually to change it to Florida after living there for a period--say 6 months--and if the new court takes ongoing jurisdiction over your matter then the order can be changed. But you cannot do it immediately and the court may respect that last order even though it was an out of state court,

I would also suggest reviewing your details with a lawyer on this issue.

It can be a bit messy when two states and multiple courts become involved.
