Angry Need advice on Connecticut Law: I am dating a man who was recently divorced.

I am dating a man who was recently divorced. He has 2 kids and I have 2 kids. When his Ex found out she told him the kids can not interact with each other for 6+ months if us dating. Can anyone shed some light on this? She claims it is a CT law. Is she right or just being a spiteful you_know_what? She can stand the fact hes not pining over her anymore when she has moved on for months.

I think it's a good rule of thumb to not involve the children for 4-6 months.
I'm not aware of any laws like that however. It'd be too hard to "prove" when you started dating.

What's the harm in waiting? I don't think she's being spiteful. I think she's trying to keep her kids from getting too attached to someone who might not be around for the long haul. Maybe she know's something you don't....

She can't deny parenting time if you decide to involve the children too early in your relationship. If she does, she'd be in contempt.

Absolute bull.
I've never heard of such a law. Ask her to cite it or shut up.
She is just being controlling, and there is absolutely NO reason that the children cannot (or should not) associate with each other.
