Lightbulb concerned mother

Oregon

my childrens father's home is infested with bedbugs. They came to my house with the children shortly after. I had a profesional treat my home for $1000. He refuses to take care of the situation in his home, has instructed the children to lie about it, and insists he has no problem. The children have said that he knows they are there, and they have shown him. The childrens health care provider has advised in writting that they not go there untill he has the home inspected and the problem taken care of. I have custody of the children and he has parenting time on alternating weekends. Can I prevent them from going untill he provides proof that he has taken care of the problem. thanks.

That is reason to halt the visits.

Tell him you will do so--if need be inform the court and ask the court to halt visits until the situation is treated.

If he has a legal right to have the children visit, then it would be unwise for her to take unilateral action in violation of the court orders.
She needs to file a motion with the court asking for a change in visitation, and she is going to need to back it up with some evidence.

I would call cs,and they would be able to notify the courts of the situation for you and they would inspect his house to make sure it is suitable before they were to go back there.
