Afraid of losing my children

Hi....

Unfortunately I'm very afraid that my wife and I are destined for divorce. Even more sad is that we have three very young children. My wife has told me to move out (temporarily) on several occassions, most of which I've complied with. Now I've been given the advice to never move out because if it does end in divorce, based on my actions (leaving the house) the court will not grant me any custody of our children. There has never been any cheating, abuse, etc., so that aside, would my leaving (even temporarily) give the courts enough to not grant me any custody? My children mean the absolute world to me and I want to do whatever I can... hopefully the wife and I will resolve our many issues. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. I am all to familiar with what you are going through.
Do not move out at her request, if only because it sets a pattern of expectancy that her wishes trump your rights.
The house belongs to you as much as to her, and she does not have the right to tell you to leave.
Start standing up for yourself right now, because once you enter the courts it is only going to get tougher.
