Does anyone know if it is legal or illegal to sign away the rights of a minor child for money?

Any agreement you come to would need to be confirmed by a judge. I doubt they would look kindly on such an arrangement.

You cannot sign away someone else's rights. That is what child support is. That is why there are laws that keep you from making a "one time" large payment in exchange for the promise of no further support.
It's too tempting to the cp, and too dangerous for the child. ~Christina |
