Out of state non custodial parent
I am an out of state non custodial parent paying child support for 2 children living with my ex spouse. The youngest (18) has graduated from high school and is taking a couple of online courses. Is it possible as the out of state non custodial parent to file for termination of child support based upon the fact the youngest has graduated high school and the oldest is already emancipated (20) from my current state of residence or will I need to go to court to the state of where the divorce was filed.

Does your child support order say anything about being required to provide support beyond the age of emancipation?
Do you make your payments directly to the mother, or through a Child Support agency? |

I make it to a child support agency directly as directed by Order of Withholding and it does not stipulate age or anything beyond that I could find within the Marital Settlement Agreement.

In addition, the Order For Withholding was served upon my retirement account.

Have you contacted the Child Support agency? They should be familiar with the applicable laws and should process the emancipation themselves.
