I recently went to court and had child support established. It took a year for those precedings and during that time my ex girlfriend hasn't let me see my daughter and continues to not let me see her. I am unemployed at this moment and cannot afford an attorney, but that shouldn't keep me from seeing my daughter. And at one point she wanted me to sign off all rights to her but then took me to court to for child support. I have no way of even getting a hold of her. Please help me. what should I do. It has already been 1 year and 4 mos. of my daughters life that I have missed.

Can someone please help me. It is a childs life at matter here.

Did you get a visitation arrangement when you went to court?

Child support and visitation are two different issues. Normally, they are resolved at the same court hearing, but in your case apparently they were not.
You need to file for visitation rights. It is always advisable to have an attorney, but there is no law saying you cannot file on your own. From you previous court experience you should have copies of motions and affidavits filed in your case. Use these documents as templates to file your own motion before the court requesting visitation. |

No visitation rights were established. The judge said that was another matter of which I would have to handle at another time. Thanks for the advice.

The Judge was bull****ting you. Visitation can, and should have, been determined at that time.
File for legal visitation rights ASAP. |
