Yes the father is the owner of the child as far as monetary issues. The jsudicail systems are not fair to the fathers. You go into a marriage as equal partners and the guy comes out getting the shaft all the way around. The woman can lie thru her teeth and they belive her and there is nothing you can do about. I think laws need to be changed drastically. to protect the father. the kdis are protected very well and most fathers are the ones who protect them, not the mothers. I am sorry but spousal income is factored in, I just lived it. I am reading correctly.

Just to be clear...to date, NOBODY has posted a link to a Statute, precedent, or legal decision showing where a current spouse's income is factored into child support for an ex-spouse.

It's not supposed to be factored in but I have seen some judges apply it in their thinking about the perents overall costs, such as rent etc.

But it normally is not supposed to be included.


To those above that say it was included, it would be interesting to see your court order language, redacted of course.
