Temporary Custody Order Question
I live in Alabama. I gave my parents temporary custody of my daughter when I was 16. They petitioned the court for it and I signed. I am now 26 and was wondering if such an order expires or if I have any legal rights at all after not having it changed back?

Go down to the courthouse and find all the filings on your case. I'm thinking there were some hearings or decisions that may have been kept from you.
While you are down there, file a motion for custody. What happened in the past is not as important as what you do from here forward. |

I do not know the difference in laws from state to state but I have custody of my grandson while my daughter goes to school in another state and we were told when she comes back to NY she will have to file a petition to regain full custody of him.
