I'm looking for as much info as I can recieve free on modifying custody in order to move out of state for school. I have been accepted to a 4 year college out of state and I want to be able to bring my child with me.
The father and I live in different counties and he has already been lessing the amount of time he visits with her b/c of car/transportation reasons. The courts do not yet know this and the time he spends with our child is less then agreed upon in court. I tried offering him an agreement but he refused it and now I know we are going to have to go to court. I just want to know if there is a chance that the courts will let me take my child out of state? Our chils lives primarily with me and have visitations every other weekend with the father. |

Yes!
If the reason truly is for work, family, school and the like courts usually allow it but will make some arrangement so that the other spouse spends more time with the child perhaps in the summer or other holidays. |
