Default child lawyer...NEW ZEALAND

Hi,

I am from NEW ZEALAND.

In the horrible situation of having split from x partner of 10 years, we have 3 children together.
He at present has the children, I am trying to get full day to day parenting of them.

The childs lawyer now wants to see my house, this is to occur the day before a mediation case happens. i have only been told this last friday.

(We are in the position of apparently needing approxiamatley a three day court case, and there is no way of that happening in the near future, so that is why mediation is happening).

The case has been ongoing for a year now, many times I have contacted the childs lawyer with concerns for their welfare, regarding inappropriate clothing for weather etc etc.

The latest concern has been the fact the children have told me father sends them to school at 8am when he goes to work. They are the only children there, and some times the teachers are not there and they cant get inside their classrooms.

Naturally I let my lawyer know, also sending a copy of my letter to child lawyer.
She is coming to our home town the DAY before the mediation session, and is going to look through not only the fathers home, but mine too.

This doesnt worry me, but the issue is, I do not have beds for my children.
Up untill now, when I have them to stay, we stay at a family members.
I feel child lawyer will report to the judge, 'she doesnt even have beds for the children'.

Their beds are at the fathers... at present I dont have the cash to just pop out and buy beds.
(I have been left with very little, some of my belongings have even been given away by the father).

Do I show the child lawyer clothes that I have kept that my children have been having to wear whilst in their fathers care?
i have been paying child support towards them, and I am the one who with another family members help, are buying clothes and shoes for the children, to try to keep them in warmer conditions.

A teacher has even given one of my children shoes, because the ones they had to wear were so full of holes.

I just am at the point of overload, and dont really know how to act or react..... yet, when the principal was spoken to by myslef, says the kids are fine, no problems.......

Any advice would be great please.

Any opinions on this please?
