Default Alcoholic Parent

What is the name of your state? Texas

I have a friend who has 3 children with his wife. She is a alcoholic and is drving with the children while shes been drinking. Tonight she was pulled over by the cops and blew a .112 (legal limit in texas is .08) Her father was right behind her and he stopped and took the kids and her with him. She was no arrested. This isnt the first time she has done this and my friends children are scared to death, as am I for their safety. What we are wodering is if it is worth it to take this to court for him to try to get custody of his children or if the courts would just laugh at him. There are other reports that have been done aginst the mother, one night his daughter came to him with a hunk of meat out of her bottom and reports were filed on that.

Please help me figure out something that he can do!

My friend had called me very upset about this, his daughter who was in the car called him on his cell phone and told him what had happened. They let her go supposibly because she passed her sobriety but failed her breath anaylasis. He wsas wondering the same thing, so i did a search for forums and found this group.

In regards to the abuse, he took his daughter to the police department, CPS was contacted, and CPS told the father that is was just disipline.

Default Re: Alcoholic Parent

He has three children with his wife? Are they still married?
If not, what is the custody arrangement? How long ago was the divorce and the last change in custody?
