Default Child Support: What would be need to do to drop the claim?

Question. I owe my exwife 9,000 in back child support she has agree to drop the back child support charge and just continue with the current monthly payments that has been agreed upon during our divorce. Since she seeked asst from the child support office to recover the back child support can she cancel the back child child support it?

If so how what would be need to do to drop the claim?

You will have to present this plan to the court as a motion to amend the existing court orders. The judge may or may not allow it.

Once the state or county (depends if she's getting help from the state or county) is involved, yes you do have to pay all of that!

You can do that by agreement and the judge normally will sign the order, unless she is getting state aid.
