Exclamation Custody question

I have a question regarding something my friend is going through... this weekend is her weekend with her kids, but we've had tickets to go to a huge concert tomorrow. As part of the custody agreement, before she called a babysitter, she asked the father first if he wanted them. He said no. Now he is threatening to take her to court and take them away, because she is neglecting them by giving up time with them.

Does he have any right to tell her when she can or can't go somewhere and get a babysitter?

Yep, I agree with Tbyte. My son's ex is trying to play that game with my son. She tried to use photos of my son at a dance as proof that he wasn't a good father.. all they were were photos of him talking to friends, dancing, etc... Her contention was that just the fact that he went to this dance was proof that he was a bad father (the dance took place on a week end he did NOT have his son). The judge looked at the photos, then asked the mother who took the photo's and she replied, very proudly, "I did your honor!" The judges next question, "And who's week end was it with the child?" The mother, again proudly, stated "Mine your honor!" The judges next comment, "So these photos that you took while you attended a dance during a time in which you had your son, are supposed to make the father look like a bad father simply for attending the dance that you attended to take the photos?" The mother's proud reply "Yes Your honor!" The judge threw the photos aside and told the mother to stop wasting his time with petty crap.
