If children by law are taken into foster care because they say the mother isnt fit to take care of them, for example unstable Environment and she loses her parental rights is there anyway to gain back those parental rights? and is there anyway to get the children back from foster care? also im sorry but if she has a baby on the way what happens to it?

Start by fixing the problems that lead to the children being taken away, of course.

Probably. I know this has happened before. It is not the State's desire to be burdened with the expense of raising the children. Check the details of the court order which took away the parental rights.

well truthfully i dont know the whole story but i will tell you what i do know this girl get abused by her ex husband and she says she cant do anything because he has money and he pays people off to help him out, now she has about i think 5 kids and another on the way, but she has no money anymore to afford anything anymore and she is just about doing anything to get money for things.
She did lose another child in illinois and ohio as well, right now she is in florida but he is at wits end and i am afraid that she might do something stupid to herself if she loses her children because she doesnt want them to go to foster care. Right now she cant pay rent and she cant afford to buy food anymore, she has got a state worker coming on monday which is tomorrow to inspect the living conditions and she has no food or anything, so far thats all i know and i think i lost connection with her because she told me she uninstalled yahoo which is how i talked to her. last time i talked to her was on a game we play. but she left before i could talk to her |

That is a truly unfortunate situation, and I appreciate that you are concerned about this person's welfare.
But honestly, it sounds like this matter is simply and completely out of your control. Yes, this poor girls life has been completely messed up, but if she is truly unable to care for her children right now then it is best for them AND for her that they be cared for by someone else right now. She is not going to be able to put her life together if she is under continuing stress. If she is able eventually to mature and stabilize, she may someday be able to reestablish some kind of relationship with her children. But as much as you care about her, this is a time when you should be more concerned about the welfare of the children, who still have a chance at a good life. |

This may sound harsh, but please do not get upset with me about it, it's just the facts. If this woman has had children taken away in the past and she is again, or still, involved with children's services then it is quite possible she will lose the rest of her children.
Something that really disturbs me, personally, about this is the cat that you state she has no food for the kids but you speak to her on the internet. She can't afford food but she can afford the internet???? I'd say her priorities are pretty screwed up. Does this woman not have good parents who might be able to seek custody of the children so they stay in the family? Last edited by PapaJohn : Apr 28th, 2008 at 09:48 AM. |

You misunderstood me she had food for the children its just this month she is having problems and she is trying her best to get the money for rent, my god you people are such great help...then again i don't expect you to understand the situation. Also realize that internet is something that you only get once a month, food is totally different and yeah i was expecting someone to say something about it. I know for FACT that if you people were in this situation you would be trying your hardest just as she is, and if you wouldn't then you have no heart and you don't really care for your children. And no she is adopted and her and her mother do not get along at all, and im talking about the adoptive mother.
