My nephew's ex girlfriend wants my nephew to give up his rights to their child
My nephew's ex girlfriend wants my nephew to give up his rights to
their child so her husband can adopt the child. He does not want to give up his rights to the child. She has not let him see the child in 3 years and would not accept child support from him. He wants to see his child and pay child support. He does not have the money for a lawyer. He has a return court case in 3 weeks. What are his options ? Will he be able to use a public defender ? Thank you for your time. |

Re: Parental Rights
He may be eligible for legal aid. If not he should simply tell the judge he does not agree to any adoption.
The court is not likely to let it proceed if the bio father does not approve. |
