How are braces typically viewed by the court? In my situation, the childs teeth are not that bad. It is not a medical necessity. I am a teacher therefore not a high income earner. The child also lives in a different state and cannot be added to my insurance. In addition, my employer's dental plan does not cover orthodontics.
My question is, do I have to pay for a portion of the braces? Thanks |

Probably. I would certainly not want to go into court looking like I was too cheap to fix my child's dental problems.
If you think your child does not need braces, you could get a second opinion from another dentist. |
