Scenario 1: Two parents divorce. The one with 100% custody dies. The
children have no want to see the other parent. The oldest child is now 18, and the youngest is 15. Would the 15 year old go to the other parent, or to the sibling? Scenario 2: Two parents are divorced. Both are dead; the oldest child is 18 and the youngest is 15. If the oldest child had substantial means to live and provide for the younger sibling, would the 15 year old child go to the grandparents or the 18 year old sibling? |

--in 1 he would go to the parent normally
--the 18 year old might get responsibility but would have to show the court a very solid plan for that and demonstrate great personal responsibility. |
