Per our WA state parenting plan, I have legal custody of my daughter. Since 2004, my ex and I have been able to cordially arrange different residential/visitation schedules (not as specified in parenting plan) in accordance with my active duty military commitments. Due to this, my daughter has primarily resided with her father, although the parenting plan was never modified, and I still retain legal custody. This year, he has proven unwilling and inconsiderate of keeping pre-made agreements between us regarding her visitation with me (attendance at a family wedding and starting date of summer visitation). I obviously desire her attendance at the wedding. I also fear he will altogether try to prevent my entire summer visitation. My question is: What type of legal recourse is available to me within my rights to see/visit my daughter? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
