Default denial of visitation

over two years ago my sons father sued me for permanent custody. i was awarded visitation. for a little over a year now, he has not been allowing me to see my child. i call he ignores the calls , if i leaves messages he doesnt not return the calls. he hasn't even called my parents in several months either. the last phone call was in november, where i asked to see my son for thanksgiving and he denied my request. in this phone conversation he also promised photographs on my son which never arrived. these photographs were recently found on his new wife's myspace, she has tried telling me i have no right to them. at christmas time, i called at least six times to make arrangements to see my child with no answer or returned phone call. i left his presents on their front porch and there was no reply to whether my child even received them. i still kept trying to contact them and when i spoke to my childs grandfather on the weekend prior to his birthday they refused to divulge any info on my childs birthday party. if there were changes to our visitation agrement, dont i have to be made aware? don't i still have rights to pictures and knowing the well being of my child?

That is reason to ask the court to hold him in contempt. You should file ASAP and the issue will be resolved. He has to follow the order.

i got a phone call today from guardian ad litem. she said my childs father filed in october for termination of my rights and claims he hf no way of contacting me. and that for six months i did not exercise my rights to visitation. he claims he never avoided any phone calls . but i have several witnesses to the denial of visitation on his part. im just waiting to be served with the court papers. legal aid said they cant do anything until i receive those. am i allowed to postpone til i have a lawyer? also who do my winteeses need to address any letters to?

I'm in a simular situation, Except I gave my ex custody thinking it was best. Instead he ignores my phone calls rejects certified mail. he tells the school I'm not allowed access to anything ( we share joint legal custody him having physical ) I have not had my son in 4 years for visitation I have to go to the school during his lunch break to see him, I get phone visitation but not without getting hung up on or if he's nice that day I will get to talk to my son but never without his father on the other line, he cant tell me that he loves me or show any emotion in fear of getting into trouble. We have two other children who live with me. one has autism spectrum disorder and the other is high functioning asbergers so it's not often that I can get to the school. I know I need a lawyer, But we are in bankruptcy. What is the best way to get the court to listen??? Everytime I take him in they act like I'm there just to fight with him. I'm remarried happily now for 3 years. I just want my son back. He's 14 his brothers are 9, 12

Your rights to visitation exist only so far as you enforce those rights.
If he is in contempt of court, file contempt charges against him. There is no law saying you have to retain an attorney to file a court case.
The longer you allow this to happen, the more difficult it is to make the case that you really wanted to have contact with the child.
