Sad Dad
OK I have been divorced for a year i have two daughters 5 and 7 me and my ex have joint custody of the kids but the are with me during the week i do all the driving back and forth to school because my ex moved an hour away... she picks them up on fri night or sat morning and i pick them up sunday morning. all week long i get calls from my kids they are crying and begging me to come get them. Do i have to let her take my kids if they don't want to go with her.

You have to let her take the kids unless she is being abusive with them or you can prove neglect like leaving them alone unsupervised at a young age. If you suspect abuse you may want to talk to a lawyer or contact social services.

My ex has not seen the kids for four months. He is behind in child support. So hang in there. Be proud of the fact that you are a great dad. Your daughters will love and respect you all their life. |
