Dispute over insurance
I am the father of a 4 year old daughter. My "Petition to Modify Parent-Child Relationship" papers states in section 9 as follows:
Ordering Respondent to pay child support, and health insurance premiums for coverage on the child, and 50 percent of the child's uninsured medical expenses while this case is pending. Can someone please clarify this? I pay almost 400 dollars a month on my child's insurance. Does this mean I am responsible for HALF of co-pay for dr's visits, HALF of prescriptions, and HALF of deductibles? Or is this strictly referring to ANYTHING that is NOT covered by my insurance? Like say she had to have a surgery and the insurance refuses to pay...I would be liable for half of the costs. But if she has a surgery and my insurance is paying, but there is a 2,000 dollar deductible, am I responsible for this? I pay the premiums every month....and I really responsible for half of the co-pays, prescriptions, AND deductibles as well? Someone please please please help!!! |

It is saying that you are responsible for 1/2 of whatever is NOT covered by insurance which includes: co-pays, prescriptions...etc You would then need to provide the copy of what the bill is to your childs mother so that she can pay her half as well.
