sued for car I sold

I sold a car in april 2007 to the family priest, who in turn gave it to a
third party. This third party was involved in an accident in which he was at
fault. He had not transferred the title into his name until after the
accident. I am now named as a co-defendent in the civil trial due to the
accident. I am looking for help in filing a motion in illinois to release me from the
case and or options to prevent me from being dragged into this case when I
have no connection to the event or the car. Thank you.

You can see similar motions to dismiss and draft somethng if you are not using a lawyer.

spend a buck!

or just write a latter to the judge explaining that you are pro se and what your position is--copy the letter to the other side.

That may suffice with some judges.
