My husband was driving in VA trying to get home in NC. It was 3pm on 10/18. Two guys in a Honda came up and was riding too close, Ryan (husband) break-checked him a couple of times to let him know to bug-off. The guy came up beside him and showed him his gun. Ryan drove away from the guys to get away from the situation.

Then guys came through traffic and came up on him again and Ryan did the same thing again. This time the guys came up to him and told him to pull over. Ryan flicked them off. That was when the guy rolled down his window and pointed the gun at my husband, and told him to pull over again.

Without thinking Ryan slammed into him with his truck (Ryan was in left lane and the other guy was in the right lane). At this point Ryan was fighting to stay on the road and the other guy was fighting to get Ryan off the road. In the end the other guy did push Ryan off the road and pushed him into a tree. They were able to get out of there are and run 100 yards to throw the gun into the woods. During that time Ryan was able break his steering wheal to get out of his truck before the guys came back to get him.

That was when the off-duty cop came up to Ryan (who was riding behind Ryan the whole time...who saw the whole thing). The cop was able to calm everyone down until the cops got there.

While Ryan was giving his statement; the passenger starting talking crap and Ryan told him to shut up. And would you believe that the guy actually came over and punched Ryan in the face right in front of the cop.

Both guys were arrested.
Both guys had a suspended license.
Both guys had pot in there system, on them, and in the car.
Ryan did press charges for the gun and for the assault.

All I want to do is to make sure that these guys go to jail for a while....what do we need to do to make sure that happens? Because I've been calling the policy station...and they are making feel like they are not going to do anything because it was no big deal...
