Son, 21, at college in Maryland, was invited by salesman to come drive a shiny new $62K BMW (yes, he got the "what the he!! were you thinking??" lecture). He did not sign anything accepting liability, nor was even asked to present his drivers license or insurance credentials until after the accident. He only has liablility insurance on his car, no comprehensive. Dealer is insisting that he pay for the damage. His insurance co has not been overly helpful. Suggestions? TIA - and this is a great website!

The dealers all have insurance to cover test drives--the dealer pays.
