Default You've gotta be joking

Last May my son was riding his bike home from school through a 4 way stop
intersection, his buddy was riding next to him, police agree he has right of
way. A car comes from right, stops then continues into intersection and hits
both boys broadside, boys land on hood and then are thrown into street when
car stops. bike is destroyed, my son is injured, entire right side bruised
and scraped, nothing broken. Car driver\'s insurance admits they will honor
claim. After continually calling them for some sort of action, in August
they sent a check to replace bike. A couple months later after several more
calls, they make an offer of $1000. Medical alone is @$500. Bike was $320.
Netting my son about$150. for pain and suffering when he was mowed down,
dumped into the street and left there alone with his friend. I told them the
offer was ridiculous, and did not accept it. I know this is not a big case
because my son\'s injuries were not severe and he was completely recovered 1
month later. But I think he is entitled to more than $150. Am I wrong, and
is it unrealistic for an attorney to take this case?

It is certainly possible you have a case based on what you say here; you should take a brief description of these events as well as your medical records to an injury attorney and see if the attorney thinks you have a claim; often you need to contact several attorneys to find one to take the case; the review of your case and records is often free and then they will normally take the case on a contingency fee basis if they think you can win; you would pay only if they collect for you...
