Daughter age 15 was in ice roll over with her Dad, who broke his neck. Daughter signed off ambulance and medical treatment at age 15. Her jaw was sore and we did speak to family doc after she got home. Now, at 19-20 she has had to have expensive jaw retainer and now has to have new teeth braces, total about 8K treatments in the last year.
How did the medical people allow her to sign off on herself at 15? Is there any recourse now? |

Yes often she can sue in her own name once she is 18.
Take a brief description of these events as well as your medical records to an injury attorney and see if the attorney thinks you have a claim; often you need to contact several attorneys to find one to take the case; the review of your case and records is often free and then they will normally take the case on a contingency fee basis if they think you can win; you would pay only if they collect for you... |
