Ontraio accident

Hello:

Few days ago.. my call rolled and his someones car from behind (its 5 speed..) There was no damage on any of the cars. The car was rear ended had some minor damage from before (as it was on the side, and seem totally unrelated to this accident)

I had the courtsy to give them my name, phone number and drivers lic number just in case... no insurance info or plate info was exchanged. they wanted to get an estimate on the bumper and get me to cover part of the cost. This is really not right as it seems like they want me to pay for damage I never caused.

What can they really do with this info? can they call and blame all damages on me? I have nothing my car.. not even a scratch.

They can try to do that but you can show and prove the marks are older. They cannot commit fraud or they could be charged with a crime.
