Confused Question on estimates for accident (vehicle that needs repair)

Do I have the right to ask for more than one estimate on a vehicle that needs repair. My insurance wont cover my son bumping a truck parked on the side of the road, because he is 14 and not covered under our insurance yet. Our road is a private road and this person pulled up in some grass between me and my neighbors...

I wish to inform you that in an accident you may claim only your actual losses. You may not claim more then actual loss. You will be required to show evidence of your loss relating directly to accident which include repair cost. The total loss estimate will include total amount of loss directly from the acts of other and in this total estimate of loss you may include your loss. You may first serve a written notice and can ask for compensation and if the other party refuses then you can then file a lawsuit. The burden will be on you to show that resulting loss is only because of acts of other person.

The owner of the truck gave us one estimate for the repairs to his vehicle and we think it is to much since its a friend of his. Can we ask for another estimate to compair the repairs? He says its his choice only. I believe that we have a right to compare?

You do!

Demand another or tell him you will let it go to court.

Prof is required for this purpose. And your loss is return to you if you show the evidence or prof.

There are many reasons why it is best for you to obtain legal representation after an accident.
