I am being sued for injuries claimed by the Plaintiff who was in fact the person that hit my car in the rear. There have been multiple attempts to come together for the Court-Ordered Examination Before Trial. I have been ready each time and it has been documented as such however the Plaintiff has canceled. Are there any rules or laws that require the Plaintiff to appear after a certain number of cancellations or does this continue until the Plaintiff decides to show up?
Also, I am being represented by a law firm provided by my insurance company. Is it recommended that I hire my own counsel or is this normally the way to go? |

Ask the judge to fine them and award you costs if they delay again.
...it does sometimes help to at least have your own independent counsel review what is going on and confirm that your interests are being protected. |
