Accident with off duty police officer
I was hit by an off-duty police officer in a private property parking lot. The police came and wrote a report, no one was sighted because it was private property, however, the report has all the information about me, ss#, dob, etc. and none of his personal info. When I tried to find out why I was told "since he is a captain of a police dept (a different city police dept than wrote the report) that info is confidential.
Is this true? And if so, do you know why? |

No--ask the chief of the dept for an explanation in writing; that is odd.
