Default lawsuit possible after payment?

hi, I was recently in an accident -- At first the lady complained of whiplash and was checked out in an ambulance for about 5 minutes and was cleared. The lady agreed to report the accident as a non-injury accident. She had liability insurance and I have none.

The lady asked me to just pay her cash instead of fixing the car. If I give the lady a check for $2500 can she legally come after me for more money involving her car or injury?

Don't bother wasting your money. This is not slander. For slander you need to prove intent. Specifically, MALICIOUS INTENT. In your case, the company (or their representative), filed for an eviction due to non-payment of rent. They did not do anything malicious. It sounds to me like you even admit that you are behind on your rent, just not by the amount they filled for.

You must to call the person or business that is suing you. Ask politely if you can make arrangements to pay the debt in installments. Propose what you feel works for you, such as $100 a month for 12 months to pay a $1,100 debt. If the individual or company is agreeable, ask to get the arrangement in writing. Usually, they will send you a fax or a letter in the mail. Go to court as scheduled on your lawsuit hearing date. Explain to the judge that you and the plaintiff (the person suing you) have made payment arrangements.
