What do I do now? I can't afford to pay all the medical bills.

My daughter and I was hit 8 months ago while stopped at a light from behind. She panicked & accelerated embedding her lic. plate into my bumper. I was driving my daughter was a passenger.

My Ins. Co. paid the first $1000 in medical bills but the other ins. co. has not paid a dime. The bills are being sent to collection I have been paying what I can But my doctor sent me to the hospital and I can't afford to pay them all. I seen a physical therapist for 5 months and he released me over 2 months ago stating that was the best I would get. I sent a demand for settlement 30 days ago with a please respond within 15 days. I have had no response or contact from the adjuster since he took the case. I sent a medical release. My daughter who is 18 that was injured as well has not heard anything as well. Where do I go from here short of hiring a Lawyer?

A lawyer would seem the best at this point.

Or if the damages are limited you could sue in small claims court yourself.
