10 days ago a woman ran into my car from behind. I was approaching a traffic light and slowed down. This woman was speaking on the phone and rear ended my car "bamm". We pulled over to the next street and exchanged information. She told me not to call the police, and gave me her insurance info and I was nice to her she an older woman in her late 40's. I put a claim on her insurance company. After two days she called me and said that we have to do a police report. When we went to the police station to file for a report she changed the story saying that my car back rolled into hers and she put a claim on my insurance company. The officer gave us both copies of the motorist report and told us to fill our versions and mail it to the Crash division. I filled out my version of the incident and mailed it to the Crash division. I am awaiting the police report. Does a police accident report tell who was at fault and who was issued a ticket? What would possibly happen next. My bumper and muffler are damaged. I want them fixed. I spoke with my insurance company and they said they will deny her claim. When I called her insurance company they were trying their best to deny my claim. Please advise me how to go from here.
