Default Motorcycle accident and health insurance question

My fiance was injured in a motorcycle accident caused by another driver. We hired an attorney and he received a settlement for $15,000.00 from the other driver's insurance. He was off work for 3 months and racked up $45,000.00 in medical bills that were covered by his health insurance.
The accident happened in August and we recently started getting letters from a "healthcare recovery" firm that represents his medical insurance requesting that he contact them so they can gather information to see "if another party is responsible" for his medical bills. We are not getting any bills from them, but they are saying they "may" seek legal assistance if he does not call them within 10 days. Can they take our settlement money? we already used it to pay off other debt and for living expenses while he wasn't working. We paid all the deductibles, etc. on the health insurance policy. Should we call these people or ignore them? It seems like if we owed money we would have gotten a bill or phone call or something from them. We don't have the name or anything from the other party, because the attorney took care of all of that. What should we do? The accident occurred in Pennsylvania, if that helps.
Thanks!

Have them call your attorney if you can do that.

You don't have to respond if you don't want to.
